Willow Pilates Studio is thrilled to welcome the premiere barre workout called Xtend to our studio. We are the only studio in the area to offer this amazing workout to our clients. Recognized as the most efficient way to create a strong and healthy body at any age, the Xtend system focuses on sculpting the body proportionally with the use of a ballet barre, playground balls, hand held weights, and yoga straps. During the exciting 55-minute Xtend class, clients benefit from a series of isometric exercises and orthopedic stretches to achieve firm and fast results due to its target of all major muscle groups.
Classes begin with an invigorating warm up followed by the upper body segment using light hand weights to target the shoulders, biceps, triceps, and upper back muscles. Next, clients challenge their entire body, including intense seat and thigh series with the support of a ballet barre. Xtend then engages the deeper core with an abdominal series performed on the floor. A calming stretch series relaxes the body and mind, concluding the class. Clients find themselves walking away feeling invigorated!
Xtend is the answer to living a happier, healthier life with your ideal body shape. Visit www.xtendbarreworkout.com to learn more and experience it for yourself right here at Willow Pilates Studio. (Xtend is Trademarked by Xtend Workout, LLC)

FAQs of Xtend:
"What do I wear to an Xtend class?" Most clients wear yoga/pilates pants and a light weight top. Wear whatever makes you comfortable during a full body workout. We do require that you wear non-slip socks. If you do not have any, we do sell them at the front desk for $12.
"Is Xtend for all ages and body types?" Yes, as with any exercise, there are modifications that can be made for past injuries, including back, knees, neck, etc.. As long as your doctor has cleared you for exercise, Xtend can work for you. As for age, Willow clients range from 18 to "none of your business".
"I have tried another barre workout, and I hurt my back. How is Xtend different?" Xtend was created by a pilates instructor, and only pilates instructors can be certified to teach Xtend. Our amazing instructors have years of experience in modifying workouts to help clients experience a pain free workout. With Xtend, the emphasis is on lengthening, not tucking. Tucking can cause back injuries if not done correctly. Our instructors will always assist you in your form, but this class is fun, and you will never feel like you have be a ballerina to do Xtend Barre. As I write this, the class is laughing!
"Do I have to be a member of Willow to take Xtend?" You never have to be a member at Willow. Membership allows a client to buy packages for services at a lower rate, but no client ever has to be a member. Willow offers an intro package for Xtend, which is 4 classes for $60 that is available to everyone. But, our non-member rates for classes are still competitive.
"Can pregnant women take Xtend?" If your doctor has cleared you for exercise, and you wear a heart rate monitor, you can take Xtend. Since Xtend is a cardio workout, the heart rate monitor is used as a precaution for overheating. We also suggest that pregnant clients drink plenty of water, to avoid dehydration.
"How big are your classes?" The maximum size of our classes is 12. We want our instructors to be able to address any form corrections to prevent injury, so smaller classes are usually best.
"Where do I sign up?" Please call 615.297.7117 or you can email manager@willow-studio.com to sign up for classes!
