Willow Pilates Studio is the Power Pilates Teacher Training center of Nashville, Tennessee.  Our wonderful trainer, Sylvia Gamonet, leads the program.  Sylvia joined the Power Pilates Team in 2004 and became a Teacher Trainer in 2006. Ms Gamonet has worked with every range of physical ability, from professional dancers , ice skaters, competitive tri-athletes to those recovering from MS, fibromyalgia, heart attack, back and knee surgery, and hip and knee replacement.

Beginner Mat
March 30th - April 1st, 2012


Beginner Mat is the foundation of all of our Pilates training programs.  Every program builds upon the information provided in this course.  You will learn 18 Beginner level Mat exercises and be introduced to the Power Pilates Teaching Tools (philosophy, teaching formula, and the Power Pilates “Art of Teaching”).


Intermediate Mat

February 24th - 26th, 2012

April 27th - 29th, 2012


Intermediate Mat will develop your ability to work with people of all ages and different fitness levels.  You will learn 12 Intermediate level Mat exercises and where to add them within the sequence of the Beginner Mat class, while continuing to enhance your teaching skills.


Comprehensive Training Program:

Weekend #1:  December 9th-11th, 2011  

Weekend #2:  January 13th-15th, 2012

Weekend #3:  February 10th-12th, 2012

Weekend #4:  March 16th-18th, 2012

The Comprehensive training is our most extensive program and covers beginner, intermediate and advanced level exercises utilizing the Pilates apparatus – Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, Ped-o-Pull and Magic Circle – as well as understanding how to work with Special Case clients (i.e. obesity, pregnancy, back problem, neck, knee, shoulder, etc.). You will continue to utilize and build the teaching tools learned during the Beginner and Intermediate mat weekends. You will sharpen your eye for subtle exercise modifications and master the ability to work with people of all ages and fitness levels at the same time.


System Training Level 1:

April 20th - 22nd, 2012
May 4th - 6th, 2012
May 18th - 20th, 2012
June 2nd - 3rd, 2012


Prerequisites

  • Power Pilates Beginner Mat Training
  • 25 semi private or private classical Pilates apparatus sessions.
  • Log sheet of classes (from studio or hand written)
  • Letter of recommendation from instructor
  • Proof of completion of basic anatomy course within last 2 years

 

 


System Training Level 2:


July 13th - 15th, 2012
July 27th - 29th, 2012
August 10th - 12th, 2012
August 25th - 26th, 2012

 

This 2-month program will prepare you to teach Private and Semi-Private sessions on the Apparatus utilizing the entire Intermediate System.

Prerequisites

  • Power Pilates System Training Level 1

 


System Training Level 3:

September 14th - 16th, 2012
September 28th - 30th, 2012
October 12th - 14th, 2012
October 27th - 28th, 2012

This 2-month program will prepare you to teach Private and Semi-Private sessions on the Apparatus utilizing the entire Intermediate System.
